Integrated Communications Strategy fulfills Non-Profit’s Mission

The Client

Bow Valley Regional Housing is a non-profit community housing organization operating in the Canmore, Alberta, as well as the surrounding Bow Valley and Kananaskis areas. It offers subsidized and income-assisted housing options for seniors and low income families, and currently helps more than 500 clients living in over 60 residential and multi-family properties.

The challenge

Bow Valley Regional Housing was challenged in effectively communicating the value they bring to the communities in which they operate, potential clients in need who were unaware of their services, and the stakeholders who fund the non-profit organization.

The solution

The Barrel team undertook a strategic review of all communications vectors, both current and potential, for BVRH. The result of this review was a proposal to revamp and modernize the organization’s communications plan, focusing on a transition to digital and social channels, including a new website and social media presences on Facebook and Twitter. Additional creative ideation and graphic design work was completed to improve the look and feel of the brand through its Annual Reports and other printed collateral.
