CALGARY Restaurant Showcases Community Investment and Increases Fan Base By 52%
Nick’s Steakhouse & Pizza is an iconic Calgary restaurant that opened 40 years ago. They have a well-established brand as a family-friendly sports institution that serves traditional and hearty dishes, and is a destination of choice for local and visiting celebrities and athletes.
Nick’s Steakhouse wanted to increase brand awareness and enhance its online reputation. They take part in many community investment initiatives and wanted to showcase their involvement with local organizations. charitable endeavours, and sports institutions.
Barrel developed a 6-month regional brand awareness and reputation management strategy. A video series showcasing their support for Dare to Care, the University of Calgary Dinos, the Calgary Stampeders, the Calgary Olympic Oval & other local businesses was produced. These videos were syndicated across the Facebook advertising network with the objective of increasing their fan base, online reputation and brand awareness. Barrel also implemented an in-store and online review contest with the objective of increasing Nick’s star-rating on Google My Business, Trip Advisor, Facebook, Zomato and Yelp. Additionally, for the first time in 2019, Barrel designed and executed Nick’s YYC Pizza Week campaign, winning both the Baker Award grand prize and the Best Thick Crust award.
