Contempa Floors is more than just flooring products. Based in Calgary, Contempa Floors builds meaningful relationships with their customers and suppliers, and provides exceptional end-to-end service from design, to supply, to installation.

The challenge

Contempa began operations almost 50 years ago as a carpet supplier, but over the course of its operations, evolved to become a leading retail supplier of the entire spectrum of flooring products. However, its owners and stakeholders realized that the Contempa brand and marketing did not evolve with it, putting it at a strategic disadvantage in a very competitive market.

The solution

Contempa engaged Barrel to conduct a full brand and communications audit, to determine how to best position the organization as a modern and powerful leader in Calgary’s flooring supply and installation sector. The Barrel team conceptualized a new logo and brand scheme, along with a modern website redesign, which was supplemented by refining its social media presence. After launching the new brand, and after an in depth marketing strategy analysis, this new brand was amplified through organic and paid social campaigns, and a custom-tailored Google Ads Search campaign.
