Engaging Video Production brings the World Petroleum Congress to Calgary
WPC Canada is the Canadian National Committee of the World Petroleum Council (WPC), a non-political, Non-Governmental Organization accredited by the United Nations. WPC Canada has been a member since 1957. It is a premiere network of energy professionals, with a membership that includes more than 60 representatives of the Canadian oil and gas industry from the private, public and academic sectors.
The World Petroleum Congress attracts thousands of delegates from 97 member countries, resulting in millions of dollars injected into the local economy and valuable international acclaim. Facing fierce competition from cities eager to host the 2023 World Petroleum Congress, WPC Canada wanted an edge.
The Barrel team dove in. Partnering with powerful business and government organizations and representatives, including Canadian Minister of Natural Resources Amarjeet Sohi, Alberta Premier Jason Kenney, Travel Alberta and Tourism Calgary, Barrel scripted, filmed and produced three compelling videos to support WPC Canada’s bid. These videos included a captivating logo animation, historical assets from the Glenbow Museum, and onsite filming.
